The COVID-19 implications for children have been drastic, with schools closed for 168 million children (UNICEF). This disparity necessitates a concerted effort to maintain connections with children. Outlets for creativity and expression are essential and difficult to ensure remotely. We are building a virtual library that children can enjoy wherever they are. Stories are great vehicles for imagination, inspiration, and care. Still, 1.3 billion 3-17 year olds lack internet connection at home (UNICEF). This initiative is meant to ameliorate destructive effects where it can. REMINDERS
Remember to be engaging and animated when reading a story, but maintain clear articulation. Speak as if a group of children was sitting in front of you listening to the story. Show the pictures as best as you can to create a comprehensive experience.
